    It is a very tempting problem to decide if the Marsden-Weinstein reduction and geometric prequantization are or are not interchangeable processes. Some partial answers at this problem were given by: \textit{V. Guillemin} and \textit{S. Sternberg}, Invent. Math. 67, 515-538 (1982; Zbl 0503.58018); \textit{J. Śniatycki}, Lect. Notes Math. 1037, 301-334 (1983; Zbl 0528.58012); \textit{M. J. Gotay}, J. Math. Phys. 27, 2051-2066 (1986; Zbl 0632.58020); the author and \textit{V. V. Tsanov}, J. Geom. Phys. 2, No.1, 17-24 (1985; Zbl 0587.58022) and J. Phys. A 20, 5865-5871 (1987; Zbl 0658.58051); and the reviewer, Lett. Math. Phys. 8, 189-194 (1984; Zbl 0557.58012); Lett. Math. Phys. 11, 107-112 (1986; Zbl 0611.58028); Proc. Conf., Brno/Czech. 1986, Commun., 273-282 (1987; Zbl 0632.58019); Lett. Math. Phys. 13, 99-103 (1987; Zbl 0628.58017); Serdica 14, No.2, 198-201 (1988; Zbl 0676.58032) and Prepr. ``Babes-Bolyai'' Univ., Fac. Math. Phys., Res. Semin 1988, No.2, 151-154 (1988; Zbl 0685.58017)]. In the paper under review the author solves the same problem for the so- called MIC-Kepler problem.
