Prime valued polynomials and class numbers of quadratic fields (Q914745)

The author intends to give a survey around his recent works concerning the relationship between prime producing quadratic polynomials and the class number one problem for real quadratic fields, especially those of Richaud-Degert type. In particular, he gives 42 real quadratic fields of extended R-D type with class number one and asserts only one more possible field remains. Finally, he presents some conjectures and questions.
