Let \(A_{p,r}(D)\) be the Bergman space of all holomorphic functions f on the unit disc D such that \[ (\int_{D}| f(z)|^ p(1-| z|^ 2)^{2r-2}dz)^{1/p} \] is finite, where dz denotes Euclidean measure, and let G denote SU(1,1). The group G acts on D by fractional linear transformations, and the holomorphic discrete series representations \(T_ n\) \((n=1,3/2,2,5/2,...)\) of G act on \(A_{2,n- 1}(D)\). The transform \(F_ n\) associated with \(T_ n\) is defined as follows: for a nice function f on G, \[ F_ n(f)(z)=\int_{G}f(g)[T_ n(g^{-1})1](z)dg. \] Then if \(1\leq p\leq 2\), and (n,p)\(\neq (1,1)\), \(F_ n(L^ p(G))=A_{p,(1/2)np-1}(D)\) while \(F_ 1(L^ 1(G))=H_{1,0}(D)\), the space of all holomorphic functions on G whose derivatives belong to \(A_{1,0}(D)\). Extensions of this theorem to descriptions of transforms associated to holomorphic discrete series representations of the classical groups which have them are obtained. Applications involving fractional derivatives of holomorphic functions are given.
