Let K be a statistically self-similar set generated by random similarities \(S_ 1,...,S_ N\). According to earlier works of K. J. Falconer, S. Graf, R. D. Mauldin and S. C. Williams under some natural conditions, there exists a number \(\alpha\) which is almost surely the Hausdorff dimension of K. Moreover, Graf proved that the \(\alpha\)- dimensional Hausdorff measure of K is almost surely zero except in some exceptional cases. The second author has shown that also in these exceptional cases it is almost surely constant, and the present paper gives a new simple proof for this fact.
