The author proves the following result: Let E be the space of entire functions on \({\mathbb{C}}^ 2\) with the usual Fréchet space topology of uniform convergence on compact sets, and let P be a polynomial of two complex variables. Define \[ D_ P(f)=\frac{\partial P}{\partial z_ 1}\frac{\partial f}{\partial z_ 2}-\frac{\partial P}{\partial z_ 1}\frac{\partial f}{\partial z_ 2}. \] Then the image \(D_ P(E)\) is closed in E. Thus the surjectivity of the operator \(D_ P(E)\) is reduced to the density of this operator.
