This problem is first studied in an open domain \(\Omega\) of \({\mathbb{C}}\). The operator is elliptic but not strongly elliptic and the maximum principle does not hold. It is shown that there is uniqueness in \(\Omega\) (having an analytical boundary) if and only if its boundary is not rational i.e. the conformal mapping of the unit disk onto \(\Omega\) is not a rational fraction. Next the same problem is analyzed in an open domain locally biholomorphical to the unit ball of \({\mathbb{C}}^ N\). There is no uniqueness if and only if \(\Omega\) is homographically equivalent to this unit ball. Finally the structure of the set of the boundary values of smooth solutions to this Dirichlet problem is described.
