The authors study the Fatou theorems for some nonlinear elliptic equations. First they introduce the potential theory for second order linear nonvariational elliptic operators and their adjoints, always aiming at establishing the above mentioned comparison theorems. Besides, they further prove the Fatou theorems for the p-Laplacian, its generalization, and for some fully nonlinear elliptic equations.
