On Fano 3-folds (Q916742)

Let X be a Fano 3-fold, i.e. a smooth 3-fold whose anticanonical divisor \(-K_ X\) is ample and let r be its index, i.e. the largest integer dividing \(K_ X\) in Pic(X). The author classifies such X's under the assumptions Pic(X)\(\simeq {\mathbb{Z}}\), \(r=1\), \(| -K_ X|\) very ample and \(g=(-K_ X)^ 3/2+1\geq 6\). This completes the classification started by Fano, Roth, Iskovskikh and continued by Mori and Mukai, by filling some gaps left in the previous analyses.
