The main problem is to find invariants of complex manifolds with strictly pseudoconvex boundaries. The tool here is the study of characteristic numbers coming from integrals of characteristic forms in the Einstein- Kähler metric. The characteristic numbers are biholomorphic invariants. This involves computations in CR-geometry both from the extrinsic point of view and from intrinsic point of view. Here is some illustrating corollary of the principal results: If N is a strictly pseudoconvex domain in \({\mathbb{C}}^ 2\) not covered by the unit ball, then Aut(N) is a compact group; A necessary condition for the embedding a CR-manifold into \({\mathbb{C}}^ 2\).
