Hamiltonian systems with time-reversal symmetry may possess two different types of periodic orbits: symmetry pairs with respect to time reversal (called rotations) and self-symmetric orbits (called librations). The former dominate for integrable anharmonic oscillators with two degrees of freedom. It is analyzed how their situation is altered by KAM-type perturbation in such a way that a finite fraction of the orbits with low periods become librations. The generic bifurcations are investigated as well as their unfolding due to breaking of time-reversal symmetry. Relations to quantum mechanics and anti-unitary symmetries are briefly discussed.
