The authors explore the possibility of developing a new gravitational theory such that the gravitational field is a tensor of rank three and that the gravitational force contains terms from special relativity. They prove that their theoretical calculations of the redshift and light deflection agree with those deduced from general relativity (GR). However, the result for the perihelian shift allows a slight difference from the corresponding result of GR. The experimental results on the planetary perihelian procession shift and on additional ``short-range gravity'' are more favourable to the author's proposed theory than to GR. Finally, the authors feel that more experiments are needed to determine whether their proposed gravitational theory on GR is correct.
