On some extensions of generalized quadrangles of grid type (Q919607)

Let \(\Gamma\) be a finite Tits geometry belonging to a \(C_ n\)-diagram extended by an affine plane. If the generalized quadrangles in \(\Gamma\) are of grid type (i.e. every point is on exactly two lines) and if \(\Gamma\) satisfies the intersection property, then \(\Gamma\) is either a grid-affine polar space or a standard quotient of such a space, cp. \textit{A.
