In this paper, algebras are objects of a given category each endowed with a family of composition laws that are subject to certain axioms. The author defines and explores, in categories of algebras, notions which, in the familiar case of modules, amount to the characterization of tensor products of two modules as targets of universal bilinear mappings on one hand, as adjoints of modules of homomorphisms on the other hand. There are many misprints, a few incorrect definitions and no examples.
