The author gives simple proofs of the dominated and monotone convergence theorems for the Henstock integral based on an idea used in the book by \textit{R. M. McLeod} [The generalized Riemann integral (1980; Zbl 0486.26005), S3.10(b), p. 97]. He formalizes the concept used by McLeod of uniform Henstock integrability and the equivalent uniform Cauchy condition; \(\{f_ n\}\) is uniformly integrable if given \(\epsilon\) there is a gauge \(\delta\) such that for all \(\delta\)-fine partitions \(\pi\), \(| \sum_{\pi}f_ n-\int^{b}_{a}f_ n| <\epsilon\) for all n. He gives an example of a uniformly integrable convergent sequence to which neither the dominated nor monotone convergence theorems apply.
