Grassmann special functions (GSF) as a generlization of the Grassmann- Hermite multinomials [\textit{R. Finkelstein} et al., Phys. Rev. D 33, 1666 (1986)] were studied. A differential equation in anticommuting variables \(\theta^{\alpha}\) of the form \[ (A\partial^ 2+B\cdot \partial +\Lambda){\mathcal Y}(\theta^{\alpha_ 1},\theta^{\alpha_ 2},...)=0 \] is considered, where \(B\cdot \partial =B_{\alpha}\partial^{\alpha}\), \(\alpha_ i=1,2,...,N\), \({\mathcal Y}(\theta^{\alpha})\) is a function, \(\Lambda\) is constant, A and \(B_{\alpha}\) are multinomials. The function \({\mathcal Y}(\theta^{\alpha_ 1},\theta^{\alpha_ 2},...,\theta^{\alpha_ n})\) is a GSF if it is a solution of the above equation; at certain restrictions on A, \(B_{\alpha}\) it is defined as the GSF of type I. A. Rodrigues formula was obtained for GSF. An orthogonality theorem \(\int d{\bar \theta}\rho {\mathcal Y}_ n{\mathcal Y}_ m=0\) was proved for the GSf of type I. If A is \(\theta\)-dependent other type than the type I could be obtained. This case will be presented elsewhere.
