Reduction for Painlevé equations at the fixed singular points of the second kind (Q923179)

This paper gives a reduction theorem for Painlevé equations near the fixed singular points of the second kind in the framework of Hamiltonian mechanics. By using a formal canonical transformation which has a better convergence, the author obtains all known 2-parameter families of solutions for Painlevé equations and new ones. In the last section the author also studies the problem of stability domain.
