Local regularity of a local weak solution of \(u_t = \nabla(| u| ^{\gamma}\nabla u)\), in \(\Omega \times(0,T)\), where \(\gamma=\gamma(x,t)\) is a negative founded function, is considered. The author extends the local regularity theory for the singular case [\textit{E. Henrigues} and \textit{J. M. Urbano}, Indiana Univ. Math. J. 55, No.~5, 1701--172 (2006; Zbl 1105.35023)]. The method of intrinsic scaling is used to show that local weak solutions are locally continuous. It is assumed that function \(\gamma(x,t)\) verifies the following conditions: \(\gamma\) is a bounded function in \(\Omega_{T},\) such that \(-1<\gamma^{-}\leq\gamma\leq\gamma^{+}<0\) and \(\gamma \in L^{\infty} (0,T; W^{1,p}(\Omega)),\) for some \(p>\max{\{2,N\}}.\)
