Let \(Gr_{d,n}\) denote the Grassmannian of \(d\)-dimensional vector subspaces of \(K^n\), \(K\) an algebraically closed field. If \(\alpha\), \(\gamma\) are \(d\)-element subsets of \(\{1,\dots,n\}\) and \((e_1,\dots,e_n)\) is the standard basis of \(K^n\), \(e_\alpha\) denotes the span of \(e_{\alpha_1},\dots,e_{\alpha_d}\). The Richardson variety \(X^\gamma_\alpha\) is then defined as the intersection of the Schubert variety \(X^\gamma\), the closure of the orbit of \(e_\alpha\) under the action of upper triangular matrices, and the opposite Schubert variety \(X_\alpha\), the orbit of \(e_\alpha\) under the action of lower triangular matrices. The point \(e_\beta\) belongs to \(X^\gamma_\alpha\) if and only if \(\alpha\leq \beta\leq\gamma\). In the article under review the author computes the degree of the tangent cone of \(X^\gamma_\alpha\) at \(e_\beta\), ie the multiplicity of \(X^\gamma_\alpha\) at \(e_\beta\). This follows as corollary from the explicit computation of a Gröbner basis \(G^\gamma_{\alpha,\beta}\) for a suitable monomial order of the ideal of \(Y^\gamma_{\alpha,\beta}=X^\gamma_\alpha\cap\mathcal O_\beta\), where \(\mathcal O_\beta\) is a special affine open subset of \(Gr_{d,n}\). The proof relies on a generalization of the Robinson-Schensted-Knuth correspondence, introduced by the author and called bounded RSK correspondence. This paper extends previous results of \textit{V.
