The moments of a real-valued function \(f\), measurable on the interval \([0,\infty)\), are defined by \(s_n(f)=\int_0^\infty x^nf(x)\,dx\), \(n=0,1,2,\ldots\) Given a sequence of real numbers \((s_n)_{n\geq 0}\), a function \(f\) is a solution of the Stieltjes moment problem (corresponding to the given sequence) if the moments of \(f\) are precisely \((s_n)_{n\geq 0}\). If the solution \(f\) is not unique, the moment problem is said to be indeterminate. In the paper under review, the authors construct a family of functions satisfying the heat equation, which is used to generate solutions to indeterminate moment problems.
