Let \(X\) be a space of analytic functions on the unit disk \(\mathbb{D}\) and \({\mathcal E}\) a class of subsets of \(\mathbb{D}\). Then \({\mathcal M}(X,{\mathcal E})\) denotes all functions \(M: [0,1[\to ]0,\infty[\) that are minorants for \((X,{\mathcal E}(\), i.e., which have the property that for each \(f\in X\) and \(E\in{\mathcal E}\) the estimate \(\log|f(z)|\leq -M(|z|)\) for \(z\in E\) implies \(f\equiv 0\). For \(s,r> 0\) define \[ {\mathcal A}^r_s:= \Biggl\{f\in H(\mathbb{D}): \log|f(z)|\leq r\log^s{1\over 1-|z|}+ c_f\Biggr\} \] and \({\mathcal A}_s:= \bigcup_{r<\infty}{\mathcal A}^r_s\). The class \({\mathcal S}{\mathcal U}({\mathcal A}_x)\) for \(0< s< 1\) is defined as all hyperbolically separated subsets \(E\) of \(\mathbb{D}\) that are uniqueness sets for \({\mathcal A}_s\). \({\mathcal S}{\mathcal U}({\mathcal A}_s)\) is defined differently for \(s\geq 1\). As main result of the paper the elements \(M\) of \({\mathcal M}({\mathcal A}_s,{\mathcal A}{\mathcal U}({\mathcal A}_s))\) are characterized by \[ \int_0{dt\over tM(1- t)}<\infty,\;0< s\leq 1 \quad\text{and}\quad \int_0(\log t)^{s-1} {dt\over tm(1- t)}<\infty,\;s> 1. \] Note that the first condition already appeared in the characterization of the elements of \({\mathcal M}(\mathbb{D}),{\mathcal S}{\mathcal U}(H^\infty(\mathbb{D})))\) by \textit{Yu. I. Lyubarskj} and \textit{K. Seip} [Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 29, No. 1, 49--52 (1997; Zbl 0889.30005)]. However, for the present problem new ideas and techniques are needed. For the Korenblum space \({\mathcal A}_1\) which is dual to \(C^\infty_A= C^\infty(\pi)\cap H^\infty(\mathbb{D})\) the main theorem implies an approximation result for \(f\in C^\infty_A\) by simple fractions with restriction on the coefficients.
