Heat transport in ordered harmonic lattices (Q927198)

The authors consider heat conduction across an ordered oscillator chain with harmonic interparticle interactions and onsite harmonic potentials, connected at both sides to Ohmic reservoirs at different temperatures, exploiting a previously introduced formalism relying on a direct solution of the Langevin equations of motion [\textit{A. Dhar, D. Roy}, J. Stat. Phys. 125, No. 4, 801--820 (2006; Zbl 1107.82038)]. Following this approach they can handle both classical and quantum case, obtaining an exact formula for the heat current in the limit of system size \(N \rightarrow \infty\) for the former.
