The authors study Galerkin's method with trigonometric wavelets for solving periodic pseudodifferential operators of order 1, which arise via natural boundary reduction of some elliptic boundary value problems in the plane. For the example of Neumann's problem in the exterior of the unit disk and Hermite interpolatory trigonometric wavelets computational formulas for the Galerkin system as well as convergence estimates and numerical examples are given.
