Numerical treatment of second kind Fredholm integral equations systems on bounded intervals (Q929909)

This paper focuses on the numerical solution of systems of second kind Fredholm integral equations. The systems of linear equations under discussion are well-conditioned. In section 3 the authors propose two numerical schemes, a projection method and an equivalent Nyström-type method, in different weighted \(L^p\) spaces. Results pertaining to their stability and convergence are also presented in section 3, with the proofs of these new results appearing in section 4. In section 5 illustrative numerical examples are included in support of the theoretical results. The authors state that, although they have considered systems of two integral equations, their results can be generalised to systems of \(n\) second kind Fredholm integral equations.
