Recall that a spinor field \(\phi\) verifies the twistor equation if and only if \(\nabla_{X}^{S}\phi + \frac{1}{n}X\cdot D^{S}\phi = 0\), for all vector fields \(X\), where \(\nabla^{S}\) is the spinor derivative, \(D\) the Dirac operator and ``\(\cdot\)'' denotes Clifford multiplication. Such a spinor field is called a twistor spinor. Using the conformal completion of the Eguchi-Hanson metric defined on the complement of a closed ball in \(\mathbb{R}^{4}\), the author constructs a family of Lorentzian metrics on (non-compact) open subsets of \(\mathbb{R}^{5}\), which admit twistor spinors with a unique isolated zero and essential conformal transformation groups. He proves that, in that family, the metrics are of class \(\mathcal{C}^{1}\) and the given spinor solves the twistor equation.
