This paper shows an interesting new aspect in understanding algebro-geometrical objects by studying their derived categories of coherent sheaves. The paper is highly technical from the viewpoint of the methods used for the proofs but it also has an interesting connection to theoretical physics via mirror symmetry. By the work of Kontsevich, the group of autoequivalences of coherent sheaves of a Calabi-Yau variety \(X\) is linked to the fundamental group of the Kähler moduli space of \(X\) via a group homomorphism. The authors show a certain relation of isomorphism classes in the group of derived autoequivalences for \(X\) being an anti-canonical hypersurface in weighted projective space viewed as Deligne-Mumford stacks. The proof of the main theorem of the paper involves results on Fourier-Mukai functors for stacks and the construction of a resolution of the diagonal of weighted projective space. Although it technically differs from the classical case, it looks similar to the Beilinson resolution of projective space, so that it is called a weighted Beilinson type resolution.
