Zeros of eigenfunctions of some anharmonic oscillators (Q931896)

The authors investigate the complex zeros of eigenfunctions \(y\in L^2(\mathbb{R})\) for the second order linear differential operator \(Qy=-y''+P(z)y\), where \(P\) is a real even polynomial with positive leading coefficient. Using some topological arguments, they show that if the degree of \(P\) is \(4\) or \(6\), then all non-real zeros of \(y\) belong to the imaginary axis.
