The author considers nonautonomous partial differential delay equations: \[ F(t,u_t)\in u'(t)+ B(t) u(t),\quad t\geq s,\qquad u_s= \varphi, \] where \(B(t)\) is a family of nonlinear multivalued \(\alpha\)-accretive operators with \(D(B(t))\) possibly depending on \(t\), and the operators \(F(t,.)\) being defined -- and Lipschitz continuous -- possibly only on ``thin'' subsets of the initial history space. The existence and flow invariance of mild solutions are proved. Accretive and evolution operators are considered and the asymptotic behaviour of solutions is studied. The results are applied to the diffusive population model with delay in the birth process.
