Let \(A\) be a noetherian ring and \(M\) a finitely generated \(A\)-module. The Cousin complex \(M^\bullet\) of \(M\) is defined by \textit{R. Y. Sharp} [Math. Z. 112, 340--356 (1969; Zbl 0182.06103); see also \textit{R. Hartshorne}, ``Residues and duality'', Lect. Notes Math. 20 (Berlin-Heidelberg-New York, Springer-Verlag) (1966; Zbl 0212.26101)]. In the present article, the authors studied \(A\) and \(M\) if all the cohomology modules of \(M^\bullet\) are finitely generated. First they showed that such a module \(M\) has a unique local cohomological annihilator. This notion was introduced and used to study big Cohen-Macaulay conjecture by \textit{M. Hochster} and \textit{C. Huneke} [Ann. Math. (2) 135, No. 1, 53--89 (1992; Zbl 0753.13003)]. Furthermore they showed that \(M\) is locally equidimensional and \(A/ \text{ann} M\) is universally catenary.
