This paper is dedicated to the study of the structure of classes of codimension 2 subschemes of an arithmetically Gorenstein projective scheme \(X\), with respect to several equivalence relations based on liaison. While the behavior with respect to CI-liaison (liaison with respect to complete intersections) is quite well known in this setting, Gorenstein liaisons remains somehow more problematic. Here the tool of liaison addition, previously mainly used to explore CI-liasons, is used in order to study Gorenstein biliaison classes and even Gorestein liaison classes, thus extending the previous known theory. The case when \(X\) is a quadric in 4-space (either non-singular or with a double point) is studied in detail, showing that, as in the case of curves in 3-space with respect to CI-liaison, the Rao module characterizes the even Gorenstein liaison class of a curve.
