The authors deal with the two-components activator-inhibitor system of the form \[ \begin{cases} \varepsilon\tau u_t=\varepsilon^3u_{xx}+f (u, v),\\v_t= D u_{xx} + g (u, v),\end{cases}\,\,(x,t)\in{\mathbb R}\times {\mathbb R}_+, \] where \(\varepsilon\), \(\tau\), \(D\in {\mathbb R}_+\), \(f (u, v)=\left(\frac{1}{4}-u^2\right)\left(u-\frac{1}{2}v\right)\), \(g (u, v)=u-v\). This system have the bifurcation structure of pith-fork type of traveling front solutions with opposite velocities. As an application of this result the imperfection structure under small perturbations and the dynamics of traveling front solutions on heterogeneous media are discussed.
