In this paper it is presented a new High Frequency Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm (MLFMA) combined with the fast Fourier transform (FFT). The method combines the advantages of these two tools on volumetric scattering problems which can be meshed using a uniform grid. An approach employing vector spherical harmonics to represent the radiation patterns on the lowest level in combination with a FFT interpolation scheme for the vector MLFMA is also introduced in the present paper. Several numerical validations conclude the paper.
