A remark on some stability theorems (Q933711)

\textit{S.-M. Jung} and \textit{P. K. Sahoo} [Aequationes Math. 64, No.~3, 263--273 (2002; Zbl 1022.39028)] studied the Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional equation \(f(x+ y)+ f(x-y)= 2f(x)+ g(2y)\). In this paper the author gives a simpler proof for the equation above and obtain sharper estimates. The author also gives minor refinement of a generalization of the above result for the Pexiderized equation \(f_1(x+ y)+ f_2(x-y)= f_3(x)+ f_4(y)\) in \textit{D. Yang} [Aequationes Math. 68, No. 1--2, 108--116 (2004; Zbl 1056.39038)].
