A necessary condition is derived to determine if an entangled quantum system can improve coordination in a game with incomplete information. An intuitive way to understand the result is that, assuming disjointness, a player's signal does not inform her about the other player's type. The entangled signal can only provide improved information about the joint distribution of the type and action of the other player (relative to the classical signal). If the payoff function does not depend on both the type and action of the other player then this additional information is useless.
