Assume \(p\in(1,N)\) and \(q=Np/(N-p)\). The author proves global existence of solutions of the equation \(u_t=\Delta_pu+u|u|^{q-2}\) in \(\mathbb R^N\times[0,\infty)\) satisfying \(u(\bar t)\in W\) for some \(\bar t\geq0\), where \(W\) is the potential well of the problem. The proof is based on concentration-compactness arguments.
