The authors study a parametrized family of continuous functions introduced by \textit{H. Okamoto} [Proc. Japan Acad. Ser. A 81, 47--50 (2005; Zbl 1083.26004)], for which are proved that they are singular, i.e. their derivatives are zero almost everywhere.
