This book presents the calculation of the motion of charged particles both in special and in general relativity. The calculations and related discussion mainly deal with the question under which circumstances, the particles radiate, and how this is related to the equivalence principle. From the Publisher's description: ``There has been a long debate about whether uniformly accelerated charges should radiate electromagnetic energy and how one should describe their worldline through a flat spacetime, i.e., whether the Lorentz-Dirac (LD) equation is right. There are related questions in curved spacetimes, e.g., do different varieties of equivalence principle apply to charged particles, and can a static charge in a static spacetime radiate electromagnetic energy? The problems with the LD equation in flat spacetime are spelt out in some detail here, and its extension to curved spacetime is discussed. Different equivalence principles are compared and some vindicated. The key papers are discussed in detail and many of their conclusions are significantly revised by the present solution.'' In fact, the author repeats and analyses several classical publications to this mentioned topic, this covers papers by M. Born from 1909, by Bondi and Gold from 1955, by Fulton and Rohrlich, and De Witt and Brehme from 1960, etc. Unfortunately, this book does not cite any of the following listed papers: \textit{Ashok K. Singal}, ``The equivalence principle and an electric charge in a gravitational field. II: A uniformly accelerated charge does not radiate'', Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 29, 1371--1390 (1997), \textit{D. Vogt} and \textit{P. S. Letelier}, ``On the solutions of the Lorentz-Dirac equation'', Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 35, 2261--2269 (2003; Zbl 1045.83021) and \textit{N. Soker} and \textit{A. Harpaz}, ``Radiation from a charge supported in a gravitational field'', Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 36, 315--330 (2004; Zbl 1044.83005), which should have been done, and moreover, the author should have compared his own results with the results presented in these papers. Also the following paper is not cited: \textit{S. Parrott}, ``Radiation from a charge uniformly accelerated for all time'', Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 29, 1463--1472 (1997), whereas other papers by that author are. Recently, a further paper on this topic appeared: \textit{E. N. Glass}, ``Acceleration and classical electromagnetic radiation'', Gen. Relativ. Gravitation 40, No. 6, 1193--1202 (2008; Zbl 1145.83311).
