The authors focus on integrable equations involving non-commuting variables, where integrability is understood in the sense that these equations can be obtained as a compatibility condition of an over-determined linear system (Lax pair). They study systems of first order differential equations for non-commuting objects. The contiguity relations are derived by using the auto-Bäcklund transformations for quantum continuous equations. These relations can be interpreted as quantum analogues of the discrete Painlevé equations. Thus, from quantum forms of \(P_{II},\; P_{IV}\) and \(P_{V}\) the authors derive quantum forms of the discrete \(P_{I}, \; P_{II},\; P_{III}\) and \(P_{IV}\).
