In the analysis of mixed boundary-value problems we often encounter dual integral equations. Dual integral equations involving trigonometrical functions which can be solved by the application of Mehler-Fock inversion theorem were first considered by \textit{A. A. Babloyan} [PMM, J. Appl. Math. Mech. 28, 1227--1236 (1964); translation from Prikl. Mat. Mekh. 28, 1015--1023 (1964; Zbl 0149.08003)]. Later on \textit{R. S. Pathak} [``On a class of dual integral equations'', Indag. Math. 40, 491--501 (1978; Zbl 0403.45007)] considered a more general type of dual integral equations than those studied by Babloyan. Recently \textit{B. M. Singh, J. Rokne} and \textit{R. S. Dhaliwal} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 304, No.~2, 725--733 (2005; Zbl 1068.45003)] have considered the dual integral equations which are more general than the ones considered by Babloyan and Pathak. In this paper, the authors consider certain dual integral equations involving trigonometrical functions whose closed form solutions are obtained. Solutions are obtained by using the properties of Mehler-Fock transforms and the inversion theorem of the generalized Mehler-Fock transforms. The solutions of these dual integral equations have applications in engineering and mathematical physics.
