A steady two-dimensional mixed convection of an incompressible fluid adjacent to a stretching sheet is modeled by using the continuity, momentum and energy equations for the fluid and the heat conduction equation for the stretching sheet. The Oberbeck-Boussinesq approximation is used for the simplification of the momentum equation, followed by a similarity transformation. This reduces the problem to solution of coupled equations for similarity variable and dimensionless temperature. Further series expansion is introduced followed by the finite difference technique to solve the coupled equations. Results are obtained for various combinations of the Prandtl number, elastic number and the conduction-convection coefficient.
