\textit{R. Donagi} and \textit{E. Markman} [in: Proceedings of the Hirzebruch 65 conference on algebraic geometry, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel, May 2-7, 1993. Isr. Math. Conf. Proc. 9, 199--221 (1996; Zbl 0878.14031)] have made the important observation that the relative intermediate Jacobian forms a Lagrangian fibration over any gauged moduli space of Calabi-Yau threefolds. The proof of Donagi and Markman is based on verifying the cubic criterions for integrability stated by the same authors in the cited above paper. A pair \((S,X)\) of a Fano 3-fold \(X\) and a \(K3\) surface \(S \in | -K_X| \) on \(X\) can be regarded as an open Calabi-Yau 3-fold \(X-S\). In this paper is proved an analog of the result of Donagi and Markman for this class of open Calabi-Yau threefolds: The relative intermediate Jacobian forms an integrable system over the universal family of Fano 3-folds containing a fixed \(K3\) surface \(S\) as an anticanonical divisor. The proof is based on restating and proving a relative version of the cubic conditions for integrability of Donagi and Markman for the family \((X,S)\) with a fixed \(S \subset X\). A similar result, but only for \(K3\) surfaces on Fano 3-folds from the classical series \(X_{2g-2}, 2 \leq g \leq 12, g \not= 11\) has been proved some time earlier by \textit{A. Iliev} and \textit{L. Manivel} [Math. Ann. 339, No. 4, 937--955 (2007; Zbl 1136.14026)] on the base of the Lagrangian criterion for integrability of \textit{R. Donagi} and \textit{E. Markman}, see \S 8 in [Lect. Notes Math. 1620, 1--119 (1996; Zbl 0853.35100)].
