Let \(S\) be a surface in \(\mathbb{R}^3\). \(S\) is a special Weingarten surface if there is a linear relation between the mean curvature \(H\) and the Gaussian curvature \(K\) of \(S\). This relation takes the form \(aH + bK = c\), with \(a,b,c\) constants. On the other hand, a surface is cyclic if it is the surface determined by a smooth uniparametric family of (pieces of) circles. In this paper cyclic special Weingarten surfaces are studied. The main result is that every cyclic special Weingarten surface must be either a surface of revolution, a periodic minimal Riemann surface or a generalized cone.
