Operators with singular trace conditions on a manifold with edges (Q939147)

A calculus for pseudodifferential operators on a manifold with smooth edges was developed by the second author (see the detailed exposition in [\textit{Yu. V. Egorov} and \textit{B.-W. Schulze}, Pseudodifferential operators, singularities, applications. Basel: Birkhäuser (1997; Zbl 0877.35141)]). The novelty of the present paper is to admit, in this frame, singular trace and singular Green operators. In fact, in contrast to standard elliptic trace conditions at the boundary, which make sense on solutions of sufficiently high Sobolev regularity, the solutions to edge problems may have asymptotics to the edge. The authors introduce then trace conditions based on those general asymptotics and give a corresponding definition of ellipticity, providing the Fredholm property.
