The authors characterize Carleson measure for the area Nevanlinna space. Let \(D\) be the unit disk and \(H(D)\) be the algebra of all functions on \(D\), and let \(\nu\) be the area measure on \(D\). We set \(1\leq p<\infty\) and \(\alpha> -1\). Define the weighted measure \(\nu_\alpha\) defined by \(d\nu_\alpha(z)= (\alpha+ 1)(1-|z|^2)^\alpha d\nu(z)\). Denote by \(N^p_\alpha\) the space of all functions \(f\in H(D)\) such that \(\int_D(\log^+|f|)^p d\nu_\alpha<\infty\) (area Nevanlinna space). Let \(\mu\) be a positive finite Borel measure \(\mu\) on \(D\). Define the area Nevanlinna-Lebesgue space \(N^p(\mu)\) to be the space of all measurable functions \(h\) on \(D\) such that \[ \| h\|^p_{N^p(\mu)}:= \int_D [\log(1+ |h|)]^p\,d\mu< \infty. \] Let \({\mathcal I}\) denote the integration operator defined by \({\mathcal I} f(z)= \int^z_0 f(\zeta)\,d\zeta\), \(z\in D\). The authors prove that the following conditions are equivalent: (a) \(A^p_\alpha\subset L^p(\mu)\); (b) \(N^p_\alpha\subset N^p(\mu)\); (c) the embedding \(NP^p_\alpha\subset N^p(\mu)\) is metrically bounded; (d) \({\mathcal I}(N^p_\alpha)\subset N^P(\mu)\); (e) \({\mathcal I}: N^p_\alpha\to N^p(\mu)\) is metrically bounded; (f) \(\partial(N^p_\alpha)\subset N^P(\mu)\); (g) there is a constant \(C\) such that \[ \| f'\|_{N^p(\mu)}\leq C(1+\| f\|_{N^p_\alpha}) \] for \(f\in N^p_\alpha\). The authors give applications of their results to composition operators, Volterra operators and spherical derivatives.
