A contact-geodesic map of an almost contact metric structure \((\varphi,\xi,\eta,g)\) on a differentiable manifold \(M\) is a geodesic transformation of the metric \(g\mapsto \hat{g}\) such that \((\varphi,\xi,\eta,\hat{g})\) is also a contact metric structure on \(M\). A contact-geodesic map is called trivial if the Levi-Civita connections of \(g\) and \(\hat{g}\) coincide [\textit{V. F. Kirichenko} and \textit{N. N. Dondukova}, Mat. Zametki 80, 209--219 (2006; Zbl 1121.53023)]. In this paper the authors prove that quasi-Sasakian structures do not admit nontrivial contact-geodesic transformations of the metric, thus extending results of Kirichenko-Donkudova in the paper mentioned above. Also, they prove that regular locally conformally quasi-Sasakian structures admitting nontrivial contact geodesic transformations of the metric are normal contact structures.
