The present book offers the reader a dense and accurate exposition of robust signal processing for Wireless Communications (WC). To make a correct design one must know the true parameters of the system. Really, these parameters are not completely known or contain some uncertainties. So, for achieving a satisfactory work of the system, robust algorithms have been conceived in order to minimize the performance degradation. In the book three important types of uncertainties occurring in the work of WC have been discussed: parameter errors with stochastic error model, parameter errors with deterministic error model and unmodeled stochastic correlations of model parameter. Here is the book's Content: 1) Introduction; 2) Channel Estimation and Prediction; 3) Estimation of Channel and Noise Covariance Matrices; 4) Linear Pre-coding with Partial Channel State Information; 5) Nonlinear Pre-coding with Partial Channel State Information; A) Mathematical Background; B) Completion of Covariance Matrices and Extension of Sequences; C) Robust Optimization from the Perspective of Estimation Theory; D) Detailed Derivation for Pre-coding with Partial CSI; E) Channel Scenarios for Performance Evaluation; F) List of Abbreviations; References; Index. In the book three related fundamental tasks are treated: 1) estimation and prediction of the channel parameter (ch. 2); 2) estimation of the channel parameter and noise parameters (ch. 3); 3) linear and nonlinear pre-coding with partial state information for the broadcast channel (ch. 4 and 5). All the material is treated with the mathematical rigor related to the addressed topics. Numerous graphics show the performances of different algorithms. There is a plenty use of various techniques of optimization. We remark the well constituted group of appendices which helps the reader to get a better understanding of the treated material. We think we are faced with an excellent reference book, a true ``instrument de travail'', in the area of designing and realizing WC.
