Parametrization of the Teichmüller space of bordered surface NEC groups (Q943544)

The paper provides a parametrization of the surface groups mentioned in the title by the construction of right-angle hyperbolic fundamental groups. These are constructed in a geometrically intuitive way using previous results about surface groups for the planar case, see the authors [Int. J. of Math. 14, 1037--1052 (2003; Zbl 1051.20021)]. As applications, the authors explain how to get explicit matrices for the surface groups from the coordinates, and how the existence of certain types of automorphisms can be read up from the coordinates.
