The problem of approximating a solution \(x^*\) of the nonlinear equation \(F(x)= 0\), where \(F\) is a mapping of the open convex subset of a Banach space \(X\) into a Banach space \(Y\) is usually solved using some Newton-type iterative methods. In the paper methods of \(R\)-order of convergence at least three are considered. The condition for using this family of methods is obviously that the second derivatives of the operator \(F\) are bounded and satisfy a Lipschitz condition. In the paper this condition is replaced by the weaker condition, that \(\| F''(x)- F''(y)\|\leq\| x- y\|\), where \(\omega\) is a nondecreasing continuous real function. Different \(R\)-orders of convergence can be proved depending on the quasihomogeneity of the function \(\omega\). The possible application to some nonlinear integral equations is shown on the end of this paper.
