Let \(B\) be a closed subset of a space \(X\). Then \(X\) is called \(B\)-semirigid provided that every continuous map \(f:X\to X\) is either constant or the identity or else \(f[X]\subseteq B\). The author denotes for a topological space \(X\) its clone by clo\(X\) i.e., clo\(X\) is the full subcategory of Top on the object set \(\{X^n |n\in\omega\}\) (in which the Cartesian product projections \(\pi^{(n)}_i:X^n\to X\) are specified), where Top is the category of all topological spaces and continuous maps. In the paper under review two \(B\)-semirigid metric spaces \(X=(P,\mu)\) and \(Y=(P,\nu)\) are constructed such that their clones are locally isomorphic while clo\(X\) and clo\(Y\) are not isomorphic. This is a strengthening of a result of \textit{V. Trnková} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 343, No.~1, 305--325 (1994; Zbl 0803.54015)]. The analogous statement for the elementary equivalence is no more valid. The clones clo \(X\) and clo \(Y\) are locally isomorphic if, for all \(n\in \omega\), their \(n\)-segments \(\text{clo}_n X\) and \(\text{clo}_n Y\) are isomorphic.
