The authors study the behavior of the energy for the wave equation in a bounded cylindrical domain \(\Omega\) in \(\mathbb R^3\) with a boundary damping. By using an interpolation estimate for the wave equation with mixed Dirichlet-Neumann boundary condition they provide a polynomial decay rate for the energy in case of dissipative boundary condition.
