The ten chapters and 464 pages book is one of Lecture Notes Series of Monographs on Physics and gives the best introduction to the quantum electrodynamics and the kinetic theory relativistic and non-relativistic charged particles. The author of the book is focusing on interactions between charged particles and the electromagnetic field. The general physical aspects and main theoretical concepts are over viewing. Chapters 1--3 of the book includes short reviews of mathematical problems of electrodynamics (4-tensor equations, 4-dimensional Fourier transformation, Kramers-Kronig relations, nonlinear response tensors). The basic principals of the kinetic theory of the plasmas (the Vlasov equation, the generalized Trubnikov functions, the Landau damping, the nonlinear response tensors) and the classical electrodynamics are discussed in the 4th and 5th chapter. The biggest part of the book ( chapters 6 and 7) are dedicated to the quantum field theory and the quantum electrodynamics of plasmas (Cherenkov emission, scattering processes). In the chapters \(8,9,11\) the problems of the plasma systems and the neutrino plasma are discussed. Here the some of the non-traditional results of charged particles (isotropic Bose gases, spin dependence in Cherenkov emission, Cherenkov emission by a neutrino, etc.) are reviewing. Materials of the most important part of the book are supported by illustrations. This book may be useful for advanced graduate students, scientists and all who are interesting on the plasma physics and the confinement systems.
